Portugal works differently than other European wedding
destinations. It’s less crowded than Italy, less expensive
than France, and has a rawness to its beauty that Tuscany
has long since polished away. The Douro Valley is one of the
oldest wine regions in the world and still feels like a
secret. The Algarve has sea cliffs that make every portrait
look like a film still. Sintra feels genuinely enchanted.
For UK couples, it’s two hours from London. For US couples,
it’s the Atlantic coast, closer than you think, with no
language barrier worth worrying about.
