LOS CABOS wedding photographer in BAJA CALIFORNIA – Photography in Mexico & Europe
Hi! I’m Antonio, a destination wedding photographer based in Mexico, and Los Cabos is one of the most visually extraordinary places I work in.
Los Cabos occupies the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortés at the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas. The landscape here is unlike anything else in Mexico: desert mountains that drop directly into deep blue water, cactus and rock formations sculpted by wind and sea, and a quality of light that is harder, more directional and more dramatic than anything on the Caribbean coast. Golden hour in Los Cabos is something I look forward to at every wedding. The way the late afternoon sun catches the Sea of Cortés from the clifftop properties along the Corridor, or sets behind the Pacific horizon from the beaches of San José del Cabo, produces images of exceptional intensity.
The venue scene reflects that dramatic character. Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is built into a cliffside accessible only through a private tunnel carved into the rock. Las Ventanas al Paraíso has long been considered one of the finest resort properties in Latin America. One&Only Palmilla sits on a protected cove with a chapel that is among the most photographed ceremony spaces in Mexico. And Flora Farms in San José del Cabo offers something entirely different: a working organic farm with lush gardens and warm wooden structures where the late afternoon light, filtering through the trees onto the farm tables, is extraordinary on film.
I specialize in blending editorial and documentary wedding photography, present throughout your day without ever getting in the way. I work both in digital and on film, and the quality of light in Los Cabos, direct, warm and relentlessly beautiful, translates exceptionally well to analog photography.
A significant number of the couples I work with in Los Cabos fly in from the United States and Canada. Whether you’re coming from Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Houston, Vancouver or Toronto, Los Cabos International Airport has direct connections from virtually every major North American city. I’m experienced in working with international couples and making the planning process as smooth as possible regardless of where you’re based.
Whether you’re planning an intimate clifftop ceremony for twenty guests or a grand multi-day celebration at one of the Corridor’s flagship properties, I’d be honored to be there with you.
LOS CABOS on film — analog wedding photography
Los Cabos has the most dramatic light I photograph anywhere in Mexico. The desert landscape amplifies everything: the sun is harder, the shadows deeper, the contrast between the pale rock and the deep blue of the Sea of Cortés more intense than anything on the Caribbean coast. On analog film, that translates into images of extraordinary depth and richness. The desert tones, the warm golden hour, the texture of rock and water and sky, all of it is rendered on film with a quality that feels genuinely cinematic.
For me, film isn’t a stylistic choice made for trends, it’s a deliberate creative decision. The slower pace it demands, the intentionality it requires, produces images that feel crafted rather than captured. Images that age beautifully.
I offer both fully analog collections and film add-ons to digital coverage. If you’re curious about incorporating film into your Los Cabos wedding, just mention it when you get in touch.
Where to get married in LOS CABOS
Los Cabos divides naturally into two poles, Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, with the Corridor running between them. Each area has its own character, and the choice of where to marry often reflects the kind of experience a couple is after.
Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is the most dramatic address in the destination, built into a cliffside accessible only through a private tunnel carved into the rock. The ceremony spaces overlook the Pacific directly, and the combination of architecture, landscape, and light at golden hour produces some of the most striking wedding images possible anywhere in Mexico.
Las Ventanas al Paraíso has long been considered one of the finest resort properties in Latin America. The architecture is warm and intimate despite the scale, the service is genuinely exceptional, and the desert-meets-sea aesthetic translates beautifully across both film and digital photography.
One&Only Palmilla sits on a protected cove on the Sea of Cortés side, with calmer water and a more sheltered setting than the Pacific-facing properties. The chapel on the grounds is one of the most photographed ceremony spaces in Los Cabos, and the overall property has a timeless quality that suits couples who want something classic over something trend-driven.
Esperanza Auberge occupies a dramatic clifftop position on the Corridor with views across the Sea of Cortés toward the East Cape. The design is refined and understated, and the property’s smaller scale ensures a level of privacy that the larger resorts cannot always offer.
Flora Farms in San José del Cabo is an entirely different proposition: a working organic farm with wooden structures, lush gardens, and a relaxed, warm atmosphere that attracts couples who want something personal rather than polished and resort-like. The light here in the late afternoon, filtering through the trees onto the farm tables, is extraordinary on film.
Baja Luna is another San José del Cabo option, set on a mango farm with an intimate outdoor feel that suits smaller celebrations particularly well.
If you’re still choosing between venues or areas, I’m happy to share what I know from having worked across the Corridor.

Frequently asked questions
01.
How would you describe your approach to wedding photography?
My approach blends documentary and editorial instincts. For most of your day I stay invisible, capturing real moments as they unfold. During portraits I guide you gently, making sure you look and feel your best without spending too long away from your guests.
02.
Do you shoot on film in Los Cabos?
Yes, and I love it. The desert light of Los Cabos, hard, directional and warm at golden hour as the sun drops over the Pacific or the Sea of Cortés, is exceptional for analog photography. I offer fully analog collections as well as film add-ons to digital coverage, just mention your interest when you get in touch.
03.
Can we meet or have a call before booking?
Absolutely. I’m always happy to jump on a video call to hear about your plans and answer any questions. It’s a great way to make sure we’re the right fit for each other before committing to anything.
04.
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book around a year in advance, especially for peak season dates. I’d recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date in mind to check availability.
05.
When will we receive our photos?
You’ll receive a preview gallery within 48 hours of your wedding. The full edited collection is delivered within two months.
