Kendahl & Vlad, Barcelona Wedding at Xalet del Nin

Wedding at Xalet del Nin, Vilanova i la Geltrú, is unlike anything else in Catalonia. An hour south of Barcelona, the venue combines gardens that overlook the Mediterranean with a nineteenth century villa that has the particular quality of places built to last. Kendahl and Vlad chose it because they wanted something genuinely extraordinary, not a hotel, not a resort, but a private estate with real history and real character.

The day began with preparations inside the villa. Kendahl got ready in a light that comes through the windows and falls on the stone walls in a way that feels completely natural and completely cinematic at the same time. Vlad waited outside with the Mediterranean in the background.

The ceremony took place in the gardens, framed by the blue horizon and the golden afternoon light. Outdoor ceremonies here have a quality that is very hard to replicate anywhere else in Catalonia, the sea, the light and the architecture all working together without any effort.

The golden hour portraits by the water were the highlight of the afternoon. That warm, directional light falls on the facade and the gardens in a way that needs no intervention. It is the kind of light that makes the work easy and the photographs honest.

The evening continued with speeches, dinner under the stars and dancing until late, with the Mediterranean always present somewhere in the background.
