Wedding at Kima Tulum ·
Tiff & Rob
Kima Tulum is a world apart from the beach hotels. You enter through the jungle on a path lined with jasmine, and suddenly you’re in a private eco-sanctuary five minutes from central Tulum. No resort noise, no other guests, just the jungle, the candlelight and the people you chose to be there.
Tiff and Rob came from New York with 90 guests who had crossed borders to celebrate with them. That journey, from the streets of Manhattan to the heart of the Tulum jungle, gave the whole day a particular energy. Everyone present had made a choice to be there, and it showed in every photograph.
The morning started at the Hilton Tulum, where Tiff got ready with her bridesmaids in the light that comes through the windows overlooking the Caribbean. Those quiet moments before everything begins, the details of the dress, the laughter with her closest friends, the anticipation, are some of the most honest photographs of the day.
The ceremony at Kima was extraordinary. The jungle at Tulum has a quality of stillness that absorbs sound and slows everything down. When Tiff walked down the aisle surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and the faces of people who had traveled to be there, the weight of the moment was palpable.
A Wedding at Kima Tulum
The reception as evening fell had the particular magic that Kima does better than anywhere else in Tulum. Candlelight through the canopy, dinner under the trees, dancing until late with the jungle all around. The kind of night that only happens when the venue is completely yours.
If you’re planning a wedding at Kima Tulum or anywhere in the Riviera Maya, I’d love to hear about it.
